Deputies were dispatched to a commercial burglary in progress at a smoke shop. When deputies arrived, they discovered that the suspects had used a vehicle to ram the front doors of the smoke shop. According to witnesses, the suspects (5-7 juveniles) used one car to ram the doors and then another vehicle to flee. The car they used to ram the doors was a stolen Kia Rio and was still on scene. While the store owner is still conducting an inventory, it appears that multiple boxes of disposable vape pens were stolen. Deputies are working with businesses in the complex to collect surveillance video.

Deputies were dispatched to a residential burglary where an evicted resident returned and broke into the house. When deputies arrived, they announced their presence and then entered the house to search it. They located two male suspects, ages 53 and 35, and took them into custody. One of them was carrying a backpack that contained a police badge, which was stolen during a 2015 vehicle prowl. On the way to jail, one of the suspects said he had swallowed fentanyl, likely to avoid going to jail. He was evaluated by fire personnel, who said he was not showing signs of ingesting fentanyl. The 53-year-old suspect (former tenant) was booked into jail for residential burglary. The 35-year-old suspect (who had the police badge) was booked for possession of stolen property and criminal trespass. He also had a warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle. The badge was returned to the agency.
