This morning, just before 5:00 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck on Canyon Rd E, just south of 128th St E in the Summit area.
According to the initial investigation, the truck was travelling northbound and the pedestrian was crossing Canyon Rd E from west to east, in the dark. The driver said that he saw the pedestrian at the last second and couldn’t avoid hitting him.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed to traffic until 7:00 a.m.
