Armed Robbery
20200 Hidden Village Dr E, Spanaway
Deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery that occurred in a residential area. The female victims, ages 11 and 13, had been walking home (after purchasing sandwiches from a nearby restaurant), when they were approached from behind by four male juveniles. The 11-year-old girl was scared, so she quickly called her mother. She then felt an object pressed to the back of her neck, and her friend told her it was a gun. The suspects demanded that the girls give them all of their stuff. The girls handed over their bag of sandwiches and a cell phone. The suspects told the girls not to tell anyone about the incident and ran away.

Stolen Vehicle
20500 Mountain Hwy E, Spanaway
A patrol deputy was driving on 8th Ave E in Spanaway when he passed a 90’s Honda Accord with no front license plate and a broken window. The deputy turned around, caught up to the vehicle and ran the rear license plate. He discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen several days prior. The car pulled into a fast-food parking lot and the deputy attempted to block it in. He activated his emergency lights and the vehicle quickly reversed. The driver tried to escape through another exit, but deputies boxed him in. The 27-year-old driver was arrested and booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle. He also has a DOC warrant. In March 2022, the suspect pleaded guilty in several property crimes cases, including a stolen vehicle case. He was sentenced to, and received credit for, the 74 days he had already served in jail.

Warrant, Drugs
10700 blk Pacific Ave S, Parkland
Deputies were dispatched to a fast-food restaurant parking lot to check on a driver who was passed out in his truck. When deputies arrived, a security guard told them that (prior to passing out in the truck) the driver almost collided with several vehicles in the parking lot. Deputies saw the driver slumped over and noticed fentanyl pills all over the inside of the truck. After multiple attempts, deputies woke up the suspect. He refused to tell deputies his name. They ran the license plate, and the driver’s photo matched the registered owner’s photo. He had four warrants for violating a domestic violence no-contact order, so deputies got him out of the vehicle and placed him under arrest. The 28-year-old suspect had various drugs on him, including fentanyl and meth. He was booked into jail for his warrants along with obstructing and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Hit-and-Run Collision
176th St E & Canyon Rd E, Frederickson
Deputies were dispatched to a hit-and-run collision that was blocking the road. When they arrived, the victim told them that she was driving northbound on Canyon Rd and had a green light. An older black truck with a canopy was traveling east on 176th St E and ran the red light, colliding with her car. She was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Deputies located the suspect’s unoccupied vehicle at 182nd St E and 78th Ave E and noticed that the steering column was damaged. Witnesses told deputies that the suspect ditched the vehicle and then got into another vehicle. The witnesses were unable to provide a license plate for the getaway vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
