DUI Arrest, Reckless Endangerment
4400 blk 176th St E, Frederickson

Deputies were dispatched to a possible DUI collision involving a single vehicle. When a collision investigator arrived, it was clear to him that the vehicle had been driving westbound on 176th St E and struck the center median. The car drove along the median for a long distance, throwing rocks and vehicle debris into the roadway, which hit another car. The vehicle ultimately went over the median, spun around, and came to a stop. The 25-year-old female driver got her 18-month-old baby out of the car and tried to flee on foot. The driver wasn’t wearing shoes and the baby was wearing only a diaper. The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI. The child was placed into protective custody.

Fatal Collision
24900 blk Orville Rd

A collision investigator was dispatched to a fatal collision involving two vehicles. During his investigation, the deputy determined that the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions on Orville Rd. One of the vehicles failed to negotiate a curve and struck the other vehicle. The 36-year-old driver of the vehicle that crossed over the center line died at the scene. He was not wearing his seatbelt. The other driver suffered minor injuries. According to witnesses, the vehicle that caused the collision had been swerving and it appears it struck a guardrail prior to the collision. Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.

Found Explosives
900 blk Tule Lake Rd S, Parkland

A landlord was cleaning the room of an evicted tenant when he located a possible explosive device. The device was cylindrical, covered in black tape and appeared to have a red fuse sticking out of it. One of our bomb techs responded to the scene and collected the device for further investigation.

Reckless Endangerment
33700 blk 50th Ave E

Deputies were dispatched to reports of a man shooting a pellet gun at his neighbors. When deputies arrived, they surrounded the suspect’s house and ordered him to come outside. He walked out and was taken into custody. The victims told deputies that the suspect was outside causing a disturbance and they went outside to see what was going on. While they were standing in their driveway, they heard a pellet pass by them and hit their shop. They heard another one hit their house near their daughters’ bedroom window. The suspect then drove onto the victims’ property and threatened to shoot out their windows. The 43-year-old suspect was booked into jail for four counts of reckless endangerment. He also had two warrants for domestic violence.

DUI Arrest, Hit and Run
100 blk Peterson St N, Roy

Deputies were dispatched to a possible DUI collision where a Mustang crashed through a fence and the driver fled. While they were responding to the scene, deputies were updated that the driver and another man returned to the scene with a truck and were trying to pull the Mustang out of the fence. Both men were clearly intoxicated and both vehicles had open alcohol containers inside. Both suspects (ages 29 and 32) were arrested for DUI and were transported to the hospital for a blood draw.
