Stolen Vehicle Recovery, Arrest
7700 blk 239th St Ct E, Graham

A deputy was dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle parked in front of a residence. When he arrived, he saw two males hanging around the car, which he confirmed was stolen. According to witnesses, one of the males arrived in the car and asked the other for mechanical help. The suspect told the deputy he bought the car for $200-300 and admitted he used a shaved key to start it. The 27-year-old suspect was arrested and booked into jail for unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle.

Arson
3800 blk 63rd St NW, Gig Harbor

A deputy was dispatched to a suspicious fire at a new home construction site. When he arrived, he learned that two houses had been set on fire. Deputies and a fire investigator gathered evidence from the scene, including surveillance video. The investigation is ongoing.

Armed Carjacking
1800 blk 105th St Ct S, Parkland

Deputies were dispatched to an armed carjacking at an apartment complex. When they arrived, the 20-year-old female victim told them that she had gone to the apartment complex to hang out with friends. While in the parking lot, six or seven males surrounded her car and one of them ordered her out at gunpoint. She got out of the car but took her keys with her. The suspect with the gun threatened to kill her If she didn’t give him the keys. The suspects got into the vehicle and left. A short time later, deputies were advised that Tacoma officers had located the stolen vehicle in the 9200 block of Hosmer St and that five occupants had bailed out on foot. A K9 track was initiated, but the dog was unable to locate any of the suspects.

Found Military Equipment
35800 blk 48th Ave S, Roy

A bomb tech was dispatched to a residence in Roy to examine a suspicious item. The property owner had been cleaning up garbage left behind by squatters and came across a military-type projectile. It was painted blue and had “rifle grenade” and “inert” written on it. The bomb tech x-rayed the projectile to confirm that there were no explosives inside. He then collected the item for proper disposal.

7/17 – 7/18/22, Overnight
Residential Burglary
29400 blk 118th Ave E, Graham

A deputy was dispatched to a burglary at a recently purchased property in Graham. When the deputy arrived, the owner told him he was operating his construction business at the property and someone stole his equipment. He said he was missing a welder, table saw, chop saw, and numerous power tools. The victim told the deputy that he saw a vehicle parked near the property prior to the burglary. The deputy recognized the vehicle and the people associated with it have lengthy criminal records. The investigation is ongoing.
