Today at 11:07 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a van at C Street S and Tule Lake Rd S. Deputies arrived on scene within minutes to help block the roadway and render aid to the motorcycle rider who was still on the ground and clearly injured.
Another motorist who saw what happened had already stopped to help the injured man. He applied a tourniquet using the belt from his waist to keep the gentlemen from losing blood.
The accident was documented by deputies at the scene and thankfully the man’s injuries were not life threatening. He was conscious and alert as he was being transported to the hospital.
