At 12:01 p.m. on March 3, our dispatchers received a 911 call of a shooting at the Miramonte Apartments at 18th Ave S and 112th St S in Parkland. Multiple people called in saying a male had been shot and was lying down in the street.
Our deputies responded to the scene and immediately administered medical aid to the injured man. The victim and witnesses were able to tell the deputies who the suspect was and where he went. The deputies went to an apartment at the scene and were able to call the suspect out and take him into custody peacefully.
Detectives and Forensic Investigators are currently documenting the scene and speaking to witnesses. At this time we know the victim and suspect knew each other and there was a disagreement prior to the shooting.
The 25 year old victim is currently at the hospital with critical injuries. The 26 year old suspect is going to be booked into the Pierce County Jail for Assault in the 1st Degree.
