Tacoma, WA – December 04, 2007 – Road Operations responded to some 200 weather-related emergencies Monday, most involving minor water-over-roadway problems. Crews were able to address the majority of these by clearing storm drain inlets and catch basins. Though several trees fell across roads in Pierce County, wind related problems have been minimal.

Several small mud slides affecting roadways were addressed. Sites included Sunrise Beach Drive N.W., 94th and 96th streets at North Rosedale N.W. and Creviston Drive KPN at 126th Avenue, 7001 82nd Avenue N.W., all in the Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula areas; 177th Street East and 226th Avenue Court; Military Road East just west of State Route 162; and the 4000 block of Orville Road East near Ohop Lake. Road crews hope to have all roads re-opened to normal traffic before the end of business Tuesday.
