Puyallup Fair continues regular operation, cancels tonight’s concert

Due to all planes being grounded, the Mya concert with April at the Puyallup Fair slated for tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001 has been cancelled. Tomorrow night’s Chicago concert will be held as planned since the group is traveling by bus. The Puyallup Fair, which has heightened security, is open through Sunday, Sept. 23. Mya was driving to an airport in New York City when all flights in and out of U.S. airports were cancelled this morning. Ticket holders have two options with the tickets they presently hold for the Mya concert. They are: Exchange the tickets for another grandstand show at the 2001 Puyallup Fair. The ticket holder will be responsible for the price difference if the selection is a higher-priced ticket. This transaction must be completed at the Ticketmaster ticket center where the original ticket was purchased. Return the ticket for a refund, which also includes convenience charge refund. Tickets must be returned to location of purchase. Ticket holders who purchased tickets by phone or on the Internet must return them by mail to Ticketmaster, PO Box 4248, Seattle, WA 98104. They will be credited upon receipt. Tickets are still available for the Chicago concert at all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers. Infield reserved seats are $34.50 and grandstand seating is $29.50. Both include gate admission to the Fair.
